This is one of my favorite places to run and bike in the area. I typically start my biking trail here and go along the Riverfront Trail to downtown St. Louis and back which is about 23 miles. This is also a nice place to start a run and had some senic views as you run next to the river. Parking is generally secure when parking on the Illinois side.

Rather out of the way, and not easy to find on Google Maps. But wlrth the trip if you can find the entrance. A truly majestic view of the mighty Mississippi River.

Took the family out here in January for MLK day. Saw a few pairs of bald eagles. Mainly saw some seagulls though, darn flying rats. Chanted USA over and over as the eagles flew over. Excited for inauguration day
