Two weeks ago my best friend and I Drove a total of almost 900 miles (440) each way to go buy me a 2013 caprice from Southbeach motors in granite city, Illinois. Illinois state law says dealers have to offer a 15 day or 500 mile warranty. 605 miles and 48 hours into having my car (remember 440 miles were driven on the way home from dealer) she blew up! The catalytic converters were so clogged they got up to well over 1500 degrees. Getting so hot caused that exhaust port to get too hot which made the rings in cylinder 4 seize to the pistons. I call dealer and get told its over the 500 mile warranty so we don't have to help. Any decent human being would take into consideration the 440 miles i drove home after purchasing said car from them, these fellas did not. So now I have a 9k car sitting at a shop waiting for me to spend 3k on a used motor to swap into my car. Lesson learned on who to not buy a car from. I'm a strong believer in karma, i will do just about anything for anyone when asked, i rarely say no. What comes around goes around, they'll get theirs in some form of karma. If you choose to buy a car choose wisely, some decent human beings are our there and aren't just worried about their profits.

My son bought a truck there about 2 weeks ago after his transmission went out on his old one. The buying process was easy breezy and they are super friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the truck had an issue unknown to Southbeach Motors, and although it was sold AS-IS, no warranty, my husband called them to see if there was anything they could do to help us. Without going into too much detail, they went above and beyond to make things right for us. I mean they seriously outdid themselves and we are more than impressed and thankful at the level of customer service they provided on a vehicle that wasn't supposed to have a warranty.nnI highly recommend this place to anyone looking to purchase used car!

Crooks! DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. They sell junk cars and don't stand behind them. My buddy and I drove 440 miles, 6.5 hours each way to purchase a 2013 Chevrolet from them. We paid full asking price. The car blew up with just over 600 miles of driving it 2 days later... Keep in mind 440 of those miles were made on the way back to Michigan. They are not willing to help make it right and are not returning his calls. Even finding a used engine from a semi local parts yard my buddy is looking at almost 5k in repairs.

I financed a 2014 Fiat 500L from the lot. It was my only option and I sincerely wish I would’ve done more research. They handed me the key, that was loose and broken. It wouldn’t close. The button didn’t work. I didn’t drive that car more than a couple weeks before the electrical system started to malfunction. Lights were coming on I had never seen. The owners manual is subpar at best (not at fault of the dealer).nI tried everything from a tune up to an oil change before I finally had it towed to the manufacturer. They wanted $500 for a new key (the key, the radio that wasn’t working when they sold it to me, caused the system failure) when I’d already been out of work because my vehicle wasn’t starting. Now I’m stranded with 2 babies, can’t make it to work, and of course I don’t have the funds to repair the vehicle. BUYER BEWARE!nnIn response to your reply: The key was loose like you said and the button didn’t work. The manufacturer has informed me that’s what caused the electrical system failure. When the radio did not update the key needed replaced to start. Dealing with a person who doesn’t know much about automobiles or mechanics, it’s important to disclose all that information. With a 22% interest rate you could at least honor the warranty. It will go to small claims court soon because I have the proof I need.

This place is amazing! You never know what type of vehicles they will have next one days it’s a dune buggy the next a plow truck..
