Our experience here was excellent. The owners are very friendly and the park is beautiful. The sites are level, spacious and sit among tall trees. There is a nice wooded area to walk, a dog park and cute wood carvings scattered throughout. Loved the chickens wandering around. We will be back.
Good place to check out, make it your base camp to visit places nearby. People at front desk are friendly, it's clean and cozy. Spacing isn't too bad. Not too noisy, like a Loves truck stop. You do get a little bit of highway noise, when outside but inside your rig should be all good. I would come back here.
Nice mom and pop run campground always has room for over nights, open year round. Full hookups, cable, small dog area. Reasonable cost, military discount. Chickens, ducks and cats roam about. Only negative is the owner didn't wear a mask during check in.
We are snowbirds. We always enjoy first stopping at Whittington Woods when heading south and then last before going back home. It's friendly and has a nice dog park and is scenic with beautiful wooden carvings.
The best of our trip so far. We'll definitely stay here again.
