Giant City Class A Campground

Nice clean campground located near many hiking trails and other Carbondale activities. Depending on time of year RV’s will most likely occupy a majority of the sites.

We had a great first time camping here, it was mid November and we were in a camper van using heat at night. Pet friendly and at the time we were there it was serve yourself. Clean bathrooms. Red cedar trailhead in back of campground. .

First time camping here, and it didn't disappoint. Fall weather was perfect,and the sites are roomy with plenty of space for kids to roam. Nice hiking trail accessible at back of campground, also.

Well maintained campground. Most RV sites are paved or gravel.some are pull thru sites . Sites are nicely spaced out . It's a self check in place .There is no ranger check in station and no camp store either .Carbondale is 9 miles north for stores ,groceries, etc. Campground is on the edge of giant city state park and a mile in off the main road . Easy to give this one 5 stars .

Relaxing, quiet, campfires. Hiking, walking. Climb the stairs at the water tower is always a great exercise or experience!nForgot how many steps, but at 72 I can still do it! Yippee!!ud83dudd25ud83dude0a
