For the last few months, I’ve been attempting to purchase a new vehicle. After researching some of the different vehicle options, I finally settled on the 2020 Ford Escape. This was due to the vehicle profile, outside recommendations, and abundance of safety features. After several poor experiences at other dealerships, I decided to take my business to Gem City Ford. Once there, Thomas Dean went over some of the vehicles they had in stock, and I quickly found an Escape I was interested in purchasing. The vehicle options, pricing, and overall experience were great. Within a couple of days, Mr. Dean put together a deal, and I’m now the proud owner of a 2020 Ford Escape. Compared with the other dealerships, my dealings with Thomas Dean and Gem City Ford were straight-forward, informative, and enjoyable. Overall, I’m very satisfied with my experience. I would do business with them again.

We bought a used vehicle at Gem City Ford in December 2020. We had Mike as our salesman, he was incredible and made the process very easy. We live over an hour away from Quincy and they were great working with over the phone about the car that we were interested in, saving us time, effort and needless trips. When we did make it up to Quincy to buy the car we were in and out in about 1 hour. After driving the car for two days we noticed that there was a leak and it was confirmed to be the gasket o-rings (not something that the dealership would have know about, because the car had to be driven over 40 or so miles before the leak was noticeable). Gem City Ford stood by the warranty and even picked up the car from Missouri to fix the problem. They stood by their car, warranty, and had the car fixed in a reasonable amount of time and were always very friendly and easy to get on the phone during the entire looking, buying, and fixing process.nnUPDATE: The original problem resurfaced and the best the dealership could offer was to ‘trade us out of it’, offering no further solution. There was little clarity of what that meant, but it was suggested the trade-in value would be at KBB, around $4,000. The onus of communication was placed on us, as there were long breaks between communication with the dealership. The car has sat idle for weeks of ownership and no offer was made for a ‘loaner’ or any other nominal gesture. The salesperson was helpful, but no paperwork has of yet been provided to show what work was done. It took weeks for them to ‘find’ the paperwork and as of today, March 25, 2021, that paperwork has yet to be sent to us. Pleasant buying experience, but the follow-up and rectification of a bad situation leaves much to be desired. Very frustrating.

My son and I were out just starting to look for a used pickup for myself. Thomas Dean came out and showed us the used trucks which were not many as anyone looking for one knows. He asked me if I would be interested in a 2020 leftover. He showed me the two they had left. Fortunate for me, one of the two was calling my name. Thomas was very helpful and patient with me through the entire process. I am not a person to make a snap decision. I wanted a tonneau cover and Line-x bed liner installed and he took care of getting them installed for me. I am very thankful to have had such a wonderful salesperson and look forward to doing business in the future with him and Gem City Ford.

I was in search of a used SUV and I didn’t have a lot of money to spend on one. A very nice gentleman named Thomas came out to assist us. I told him what I was looking for, which I thought was impossible to find but my daughter and I had been praying that God would help me find a good deal if it was meant to be. So Thomas said he had a Lincoln he would like for me to look at, it was sharp looking for a older vehicle. He even let me bring it home for the weekend, other places I looked wouldn’t let me bring one home and that means a lot to me. I brought it back Monday morning but I needed it to have a remote start because I have to go out and start my car at 4:00am for work and for 2 weeks we had below zero temperatures was brutal and Thomas said he would have one put on for me. Gem City Ford came through for me and I purchased the car from Thomas and Bret done my paperwork very fast, I had to get home to get ready work that night. A Big Thank You to Thomas and everyone that made this possible for me. God Blessed me with a great purchasing experience.

Our experience at Gem City Ford was the best I've had at a Dealership. These guys are amazing. They all worked together to make sure we were happy with this sale. We were looking for a better interest rate than we had with our current finance company . We also had negative equity on our current auto loan so we weren't expecting much. These guys exceeding our expectations by a long shot. I want to thank everyone from the Sales team, Finance Manager and the General Manager for going above and beyond our expectations.
