Nelson Electric Company

We brought in Nelson Electric to put in bathroom fans, recessed lighting in our living room, and to properly electrify our basement. Mike was attentive and answered our questions and Tim was on time and did a fantastic job. Will hire again when we need electrical work done.

Sherry (sp?) was professional and very proficient. I would gladly have her back to do more work.

We called Nelson for a problem we’ve been having with flickering lights and losing power. We can also hear electrical noises at our breaker box. They sent someone who wouldn’t give my girlfriend a straight answer about anything and didn’t offer any idea of what could be causing our problem. He offered to replace something that was somewhat inexpensive, so we went ahead and did that even though he didn’t seem confident that that would fix our problem. He said if it didn’t fix it to call and ask for someone else. It did not fix it, so we called for someone else the day after. The guy came a few days later and seemed like he at least knew what he was doing more than the first. He replaced something as well, but that didn’t fix our problem either. My girlfriend called back and let them know we were still having this problem and could still hear noises at the electrical box, and we were afraid it could be potentially hazardous. The woman on the phone said she would talk to someone and call us back. It’s been 2 weeks and we still haven’t got a call back. We haven’t got a bill yet, but whatever they charge us will be too much considering not a single thing has gotten better and they can’t return our call.

We've had Nelson Electric technicians out for multiple jobs and they've always delivered the job in a timely manner with quality work. This time we did a much larger project (moving of outlets, installation of new outlets and install of new light fixtures) and once again they delivered excellent work in a timely fashion.nI should also mention that their scheduling service is straight forward, they do reliable quotes and their technicians make sure to align with you on the project being performed.nWe think they are the best electricians in Ames.

Wow! Can I give them more stars?nOur home was damaged from the early August storm in slater our town looked like a war zone.nCalled them to repair our powerline hookup. And they showed up THE NEXT DAY!nI couldn't even get our insurance agent to show up this quickly. They had to run to the shop to grab some conduit which I failed to mention was damaged but came back and before I could turn around had us up to par for the energy company.nPrice was reasonable too.nWas unable to catch the two guys names but during the week of the storm I was unable to get other services like tree, insurance, etc to show up so fast.nnKNOCKED IT OUTTA THE PARK!nYou've gained a lifetime customer and your number on my fridge lolnthank you thank you thank you
