California Burritos Bettendorf IA

This place blows every burrito grill I've ever had out of the water. The flavors of the food are spectacular. I've had the steak and carnitas. You can't go wrong with either one. Looking forward to trying more items. Fast and friendly service. I just wish it was bigger inside to enjoy eating in.

After living in the Quad Cities we just discovered California Burritos. OMG the whole family loves it. The staff was very friendly. The restaurant is clean and the food is amazing. We came back a week later because we like it this much.

Delicious and flavorful food! Staff is friendly and efficient. I also like how the bowls are served in a hefty container which made microwaving my leftovers easy and I can wash/reuse the container.

Clean, alright taste but NOT “California Burritos.” I am a Californian native. I grew up with a cocktail of Mexican restaurant options in California. I have tasted TRUE Californian Mexican food in California my whole life and THIS IS NOT IT. I was really hoping to get a taste of “home” (the Mexican food I am used to in California), here in the Quad Cities, because visiting here, I really miss Californian burritos and tacos and “Aguas” like Horchata. Unfortunately, “California Burritos“ does not, I repeat DOES NOT represent California’s Mexican burritos or food accurately. I would say most restaurant here don’t. True Californian burritos are tastier and have distinct Mexican flavors. While the burritos and tacos at this establishment are GOOD and OK, the taste has been Americanized. Not bad at all, they are good for a steak burrito, but they are no where near an authentic tasty Mexican CA burrito or taco. Burritos and tacos in CA are also TWICE or even THREE times the size portion served at this restaurant. In California, burritos and tacos are served with chips and plenty of salsa—at no extra charge, it is ALWAYS a part of the meal. Not here. You have to pay extra for chips! The prices at this restaurant are twice what they are in California too, for less! Because of the inauthenticity in their company name (trying to represent food of a state I know very well, poorly), pricing, taste, and small serving portions, I take 3 stars off. I think the restaurant should not be called “California Burritos.” There is nothing California about it. A more fitting name would be “Burritos” or “American Burritos.” Two stars because to be fair the restaurant is clean and the food good—for an American version of a Californian Burrito.

Good, but very pricey. They also charge per sauce/salsa which isn't right. Who eats a burrito with no sauce??
