Whispering Oaks Campground

Nice wide and level spots. Owner is courteous and very quick to respond and self check in was easy as well. Good price with a park like setting. Super easy to get to.

We stopped for one night. Reasonably priced. They could use some gravel paths to keep the mud down. Conveniently located. We would stop again.

Great communication with the owner. Newer electrical, sewer, and water hookups. It is a typical city park-like setting. Lots of green grass and extra large campsites. Campground is going through cleanup due to recent storm damage. We have stayed here on several occasions and have never had any issues. Best of all, they are open year round and electric is included.

Called 3 times for info and no one answers the phone or calls back. Not going to waste my time at this place. Especially since nobody can answer the phone or call you back. Don Williams is 100 times better even just at answering their phone.

I understand they just had Dereco go thru in the resent past, the staff was out trying to get things cleaned up. They were friendly.nnIt was okay just for our one night. Lots of messy monthly sites. Our burn out was full of trash, also had a mat that had been sitting there for who knows how long, grass and weeds growing through it(must have been a monthly site in the past) why not get rid of it, who knows.nWe needed a place to stay for the night and there were sites available therefore the 2 stars.nnProbably would not stay again unless they got the messy sites cleaned up.(Maybe they could put in their rules for the monthly sites to keep things tidy).
