We had a great weekend despite the cold temperatures of February. Our campground host, Jean was really informative! Many thanks to her as it was our first outing in our camper. She gave us a realm of helpful advice making us feel at home for the weekend at this state park. We can’t wait to come back and kayak in the spring!

Steady traffic on I-10 a half mile across the water quickly faded into the background, and the cool February breeze washed over us. RV spots have full hookups so we stayed parked for the duration of our visit.nnNearby areas we explored on bicycles were generally more interesting than beautiful, but there was still some to see at the Five Rivers Delta Center. In contrast a fenced off, defunct community pool is surrounded by algae darkened concrete shade structures not far from the bridge. The area is apparently used as an unlabeled and eclectic place of business - we spotted what appears to be a DeLorean.nnThe facilities include laundry and push-button showers that seem like they will be disappointing, but they get pleasantly hot after a couple of minutes.nnI look forward to visiting again.

Centrally located, quiet, clean and each site is very spacious. Plenty of room for 30' travel trailer, tow vehicle & 2nd car. Only problem was water pressure for rv. Never hit 40 psi. Might have been just our site (#36) our maybe 2020 hurricane season caused it.
