A Lot of parking. The access to the beach had a boardwalk.
Very good vacation destination, lots to offer every age group. Friendly and helpful staff. This is a Alabama treasure as well as a National treasure, the coastline is spectacular.nThe food and drinks are on the high end but that is the only drawback. Enjoy!
We loved our weekly bike rentals from Beach Bikes! We biked for 8 days straight- in the Gulf State Park! Every day was a different biking adventure. We loved the Nature Center. Loved the gorgeous sights. Biking was fun with all the different trails. Loved the Rosemary Dunes trail.
Gorgeous! This park is beautiful and has lots of interesting and fun things for kids in the little visitors center. We explored first then spent the rest of the day on the beach there and it was really great!nWe did have a slight issue with all the bicyclists nearly running over us and the kids while we were walking the boardwalk around the lake. The walkways aren't wide enough for a family with a stroller and small child to comfortably stroll together and bicycles still have space to get around. We didn't stay on the trail long at all because we didn't want one of our kids to get run over and we couldn't hold hands because we head to be single file.
The beach was beautiful. People were social distancing. There was a lot of seaweed and jellyfish. I just went in ankle deep. I saw 2 boys get stung by the jellyfish. We had a great time. Had never paid to hang out at the beach until now. Some of the pay stations were not working so you had to walk around to find one that worked. That was a little annoying. We only stayed for 4 hours. You may want to go to a non paying beach location.
