As someone getting back in the gym, I was careful in choosing my gym. I chose Amped because of the space and the equipment provided. Right away Marcia & Katelyn began making me feel as if I've been a loyal customer. The GM, Sarah, continued conversing with me and even sat down with me the next day to discuss my physical assessment. To me, that little time taken out to assist and do the same duties as her employees resonates with me as I perceive it as leading from the front. My personal trainer Darius, is very knowledgeable and very understanding with physical limitations and will explain why you are doing things to help you gain an understanding of the benefit of what your doing during workouts. The only other thing I can say about this place is that it has me excited for my fitness journey!

I was considering the personal training. I scheduled a time for a consultation at 7 PM. I then show up at 6:55 to be early and ready to go. Well i waited for 30 minutes in the lobby for for Tony and he never showed his face. I was told several times to keep waiting he was about to be ready for me but he never did so I left. I understand running behind but I had also received a one call earlier that day asking me to be on time for the consultation. This told me everything I need to know about PT Tony. Don’t waste your time cause he’ll waste yours.

Wonderful gym, clean facility and wonderful staff. All of my friends and boyfriend enjoy their work outs! We are grateful they are in Birmingham! My boyfriend loves working out and is happy to have a real gym in town.

Ive been to many gyms, and Amped has by far been my favorite. It has tons of amenities similar to larger franchises such as Lifetime fitness, for a tiny fraction of the price. Incredible experience. Not over crowded, plenty of equipment.

Nice new gym. Very well put together, however, I was told during my walk-through that the Sauna would be open at all times. I made it very clear that was the main reason I was joining. I workout early in the mornings and noticed it was down today. I decided to call and was informed the sauna is now “staff hours only” (9-9) even though it still says on the website as well that it’s at all times. I made it clear to the manager that I was told it would be open at all times and she said there’s nothing I can do unfortunately. Poor communication. Buyer beware.
