I’m having that stereotypical DMV experience at the Shelby County License Office in Columbiana trying to get my Star ID & renewed license. I get there at 6:15am to see that I’m 20th in line, people aren’t social distancing or wearing masks, by 7:45am the line is wrapped around the building, at 8am they let people in (they check your temp, ask for your documents...), they then take your cell number and say go wait in your car until we call you. At 10:30am they call me to tell me their system is down, they tell me to go get something to eat and to hang around if you still want to wait... & that’s where I’m currently at right now and it’s now past noon...the employees have been nice at least.

I have never seen a more difficult group of people in my life. They should clean house and start over.

I think these are some of the nicest people I’ve ever dealt with ‼ufe0f I’m from Birmingham, came down and got lost trying to find the building. The young lady I talked to on the phone not only guided me in on the phone, she came outside and brought me what I needed..... very, very, nice person. THANKS.
