Good campsites with plenty of privacy, but this place is in decline. There doesn't seem to be much maintenance going on. We've been to 8 or 9 Corps of Engineers campgrounds, and typically they're pretty good. But we found it strange (and inconvenient) that there were no common area trash cans. Not at the bath house, or at the playgrounds or pavilions (meanwhile, the adjoining day-use area had plenty). I got the vibe that the hosts simply didn't want to deal with emptying them. So, for example, if you're out walking your dog and you clean up after him, you'll be carrying that bag all the way back to your campsite - or to the dumpsters at the campground entrance. Maintenance and upkeep are at a bare minimum here. Probably won't go back.

Normally I’d give COE Campgrounds a 5 start because they are usually very well maintained.nNot the case here.nIt’s a beautiful campground but sadly really run downnGrass needed mowing bad.nThe Piers and everything else made from wood are really old and rotten.nThe view from the piers was beautiful.nThe whole park needs a lot of work. We went to 2 in the same area and both in the same condition.nnThe sites were nice and level. We got a site right on the river but you couldn’t see the water.nThey wouldn’t let us ride through and pick a site because of “COVID” you have to do it online.nnBath houses and restrooms were cleannBut they need updating as well.nBike trails were nice concrete trails through the woods.nPark host were really nice.

OMG!’awesome park! We can’t believe how nice it is here! Love the trails to ride our bikes on.nLots of Cardinal birds! Beautiful place! Very clean! Lots of shade every where! Nice boat ramps. Very well set up! We will definitely be back here!

Great campground, big sites, quiet. Nice to see the Tenn-Tom waterway traffic. If you come in the summer make sure you're ready for heat, humidity, and BUGS... Lots of bugs lol.
