We went to find us a good place to take our travel trailer. We have not been in over 15 years and the last time we were there we used A-tent to camp. This looks like a great place to bring our travel trailer and we will be doing that very soon.

My sister and I had a challenge with my other sister who’s husband passed away in September and left her with a 40 foot Winnebago Itasca Soliel. Between the three of us had “0” experience of what to do to dump, cleaning the hose, etc. Art gave me superb instructions and I was able to do it but I wouldn’t have known what to do if it hadn’t been for Art.nThere was another person I spoke with the night before, his name was Carson. He gave me instructions on what to do to get there. He was very professional and friendly.nIf you need a great place to Go RVing Oak Mountain State Park Campground is the place.

Check in is smooth, the campground is very well maintained. We stayed on an improved tent site with water and power. Will be back up there very soon!!

We had a nice site and no problems. The bathrooms by our site were spotless ! I thanked the camp host for her hard work.

This Campground, like most state parks, has a unique feel on its own. At first, the layout of the sights or a little confusing. It looks like when they updated the site they changed the direction of the parking slabs. The remnants of the old slabs are still there which make it kind of confusing. The bathhouses are quite small. There are three of them in each Loop. 1 shower toilet and two sinks in each male and female side. There is a sink in the utility room that you are allowed to wash your dishes and pots and pans in. Staff are very diligent in prepping each site before you arrive. WARNING: for anybody arriving after sunset, the back gate to the park closes at Sunset. There is no place for a truck and trailer to turn around and it is going uphill.
