Was driving passed and decided to stop, glad I did. Mr. Van Patten was so kind and helpful in getting me the perfect spot... right on the lake! I'm a truck topper camper and the electric was very appreciated on a cold night. Great view, quiet setting, and the bathhouse was heated. All at a great rate.

The wife and I came in for a family reunion and she found Whitetail Ridge by searching online. We weren't sure what we were going to find because we had never been here before but were very pleased when we arrived. The staff was helpful and friendly, the campsites are very spacious and and there is decent amount of space between sites. There are lots of shaded waterfront sites. The overall quietness and scenery make this a very impressive campground. The bathrooms and showers are well kept and clean. We stayed four days and three nights and really enjoyed our stay. Whitetail Ridge could very well become our yearly place to stay for the reunion, we loved it !

Campground is nice and facilities are great. If you have to deal with Susan at the park office then might as well reserve elsewhere, not a very a friendly nor accommodating individual.

We camped on site 15 and it was beautiful!! Kids had a Blast paddle boarding, and the spot was nice and shady, level, and huge! The one negative (but we are in nature, I get it) was the ants! After one night, our camper was covered with ants and they made their way inside too.

What a great place. Had site 41 and it was a Hugh site right on the lake. Only thing to be prepared for in the summer is the flies and sugar ants. Will definitely come back but will bring screen room next time.
