The kids love this playground and seeing all the ducks. It's laid up right near the Gordon Lake edge. Basketball court right next door gives the adults that don't chase their kids around the park something to do. Also a nice gated pavilion with tables for lunch with a view.
Much improved over the years. Ok fishing very well lit at night.
Very lovely place to bring kids, or play outdoorsy games with friends, ride bikes or get your steps in walking around the lake.
Wonderful park. Horrible restroom, which is why I didn’t give 5 stars. I’ve found this is typical in Wichita Falls city parks. We travel through here a lot and like to picnic. We stopped at this park not knowing it was a city park. Loved it. Except for the restroom. There were two spaces inside the extremely dim restroom. Toilets both full to the brim, no door on one stall, the other stall had a door but was filthier than the first. No lock on the entry door. I had to leave. Husband said the men’s restroom was filthy as well. I understand that the times aren’t good for everyone, including parks and recreation services, but, as I said this is typical for WF. Not one park we’ve ever stopped in has had a well maintained restroom. But the parks themselves are amazing.
Lush grass and trees touch the edge of the water. Easy access, plenty of parking and fitness course along the trail. Excellent place to visit.
