Greenbelts are great! Austin is great! Hiking is great!ud83dudc4dall around. This is a great spot to go hiking. Beautiful scenery and nicely maintained trails.

Nature will always get a 5 star rating for me. Beautiful long trail with creek views, plenty of vegetation, and most importantly, peace. Come here early and ready to walk. Bring good hiking shoes, plenty of water, and other essentials for long periods away from civilization. For me, I had pretty good cell phone reception. I have T-Mobile. There is a place to swim but we visited during the winter so couldn't try it.

Great trail but a new thing is that you need a reservation for Thursday through Sunday and there is no way to know this until you get there. You also must make them at least a day in advance you must go to Austin parks recreation to make a reservation. Don’t be like us a drive an hour just to suddenly be told this.

Just found out you need a reservation between 10:30 am to 6 pm peak hours to walk the trail, ((date of post is october 10 2020)). No reservations no walk. Come early. Due to virus and keeping limited number people walking in and out may be why they inforced the change. Other then that take good walking shoes and water. No restrooms so come ready to walk. During spring time the water fills the river bed rock at the bottom. It’s very beautiful. The trails are clean and they supply bags for your pets waste. I’ve enjoyed this park many times.

Free parking here, trail map and trash bins. No office or any park officials are stationed here. Trails are not clearly marked. Water is about 45 mins hike from this point.
