Now, this is more of a review of the pizza than it is the storefront. The service I received from my delivery was prompt, convenient, and fast. This discussion is going to focus on the new Detroit Style Pizza from Pizza Hut. I am an everything Detroit lover after I spent 6 weeks there for work a few years back. I have never been to a city that had more pride and grit than the D. A place that has definitely gone through hard times and is currently having a modern day renaissance. The Detroit deep dish is far from a new product. The original, Buddy's, has been churning these delicious pies out for a long time and has been named best pizza by the food network on at least one occasion so when I saw Pizza Hut was going to dabble, I had to give it a go. First thing I noticed was that it certainly looks like a Detroit deep dish. Square and the edges do appear crispy. The first liberty Pizza Hut took was to put the sauce on top of the toppings. This is a departure from the origin. The sauce on a Detroit deep dish is under the cheese and much lighter than the thick, Pizza Hut sauce. The old world pepperoni was a nice touch. The crust is where Detroit deep dish separates itself. The original has a light, crispy crust and although it is a deep dish, it is airy and crunchy. Unfortunately, Pizza Hut's rendition seems to have placed the pan pizza crust in a Square mold. It is too thick and soggy when compared to the original. This is likely why they put the sauce on top, to keep it from getting soggier. It is not a bad pizza but a far cry from the Detroit deep dish I have come to love. Don't hesitate to try it but know that, like most replicas, the original will blow your mind and not to solidify your opinion based on this outing!

Ordered a pizza from this Pizza Hut and when it came through it was crushed, almost as if it had been dropped. I Called the store, same day, they never picked up. Instead of just being done with them, I ordered again next week and told them about my previous experience. The guy was silent for 20 sec after I told him what happens and finally responded with “So what do you want? You want a 2 liter?” I said sure just to wrap up the call and then he just hung up in my face. Wow.nnFor sure never ordering Pizza from here again. Take care of your GOOD customers. Had they not delivered a CRUSHED pizza, it would’ve been a non issue.

I just love this pizza hut........! I've been eating here my whole life and I never had a bad experience. All of the staff are clean and professional. Its located in the historic camp Bowie on the red brick road west of west 7th street. Stop by and place a in store order and munch down.......

I went after the historical winter storm. Lots of orders. Glad my order was accurate but did take a long time but it's understandable. Food was great.
