This is a nice bit of nature in the middle of the big city. One part wheelchair accessible with smooth sidewalks and fishing decks. Two parts rugged natural park. For those one star reviews.. understand that nature will bite you if you let it. :)
Nice, short hike, good views. Kids 4-7 had a great time. Spent about 2 hours hiking and looking around. Many different routes throughout the park. Good height at the location with beautiful views of the city. Small lake/large pond with catch and release fishing.
Fantastic variety of birds and plants! 3 separate ponds to visit. Parking and park are not that big. Only 1 small path for strollers but leads to to nice observation decks. Trails were a bit overgrown and narrow during my visit (late March).
Small-ish total area with several ponds. You can see turtles and many different birds. Some paths are wide and maintained for easy walking; while side trails can be overgrown so m ore challenging to navigate.
