Carthage RV Campground

Disappointed to say the least.nWe stayed here for the month mainly just for the pool. The pool at first was green(there pump stopped) the whole month goes by and it is yet to be clear. Then I got talked into there WiFi for an extra 45 a month. Not knowing at the time we arrived it didn’t work AT ALL for the whole park.... but still offered it(why would you offer something to a customer when it doesn’t work). THEN weeks go by and our devices still won’t hook up. If it did hook up by chance the connection would fall off. Wouldn’t refund us for the WiFi. Even though we told them from the second day of us being there it didn’t work. On top of paying 600 to not be able to swim in the pool. A couple weeks go by there is a break in during the night. Another week goes by and in daylight my daughters really expensive Jeep toy gets flipped overage torn apart(now doesn’t work) , our extra work cargo trailer was messed with(guessing they tried to just get stuff out). Luckily it was locked. We called the office and they take “note” of it.... After all of this we no longer felt safe to stay there considering someone messed with our stuff in clear daylight after we had been out there that morning. We have stayed at a bunch of camp grounds due to following work with husbands job and this had been one of our worst experiences. We should have just stayed down the street where it was half the price. Also they charge you for all extra vehicles... then you get to park in the parking lots... you can’t park beside your camper... as a mom I really didn’t like this. Having to walk a ways to get to my car with a almost 2 year old... not safe. I normally don’t leave reviews but this one I felt like I needed to.

Great site with all the amenities. Store on site for most of your needs other than fresh food. Nice Pool and on site laundry.

This campground is very nice on the surface. However I was charged premium price for a site I could not hook to sewer. We are a 40' class A towing. The utilities are all to the rear of the site, so it was 40+ feet to the sewer. Took 2 - 225' coax to reach cable. Nice camp for trailers , not for coach that wants to stay hooked up.

Been there since August of 2018 and just left today. This place is amazing. Great faculty, great ancillary service. Highly recommend, safe and secure. Truly the best place to be.
