CVS

This morning I went to CVS to pick up my RX, which I had previously called in and had been told that it would be ready. After waiting in the drive-through line for 45 minutes, I finally made it to the front, only to be told that they didn’t have a RX for me and I would need to come into the store. Into the store I went. I stood in the pick-up line for 15 minutes and then was told I would need to go to the drop-off desk. I stood in that line and finally was able to give my information to the clerk who assured me that it would be just a couple of minutes and they would call my name when it was ready. Fifteen minutes later, my name was called. I once again got in line at the pick-up desk behind 6 other customers. There are 3 desks at the pick-up counter, but only one was open. After waiting again, I finally got to the counter where I found out that the quantity of the medication was incorrect!nnBy this point, I had reached the end of my rope and just left the store.nnLo and behold, about 3 hours later I received a phone call recording saying that it is too early to fill my prescription! That would be the same prescription I had gone to pick up this morning. I waited on hold to talk to a pharmacy associate until the recording informed me that all associates are busy and I should call back later.nnI called the store back and was told once again by the recorded voice that my prescription would be ready for pickup tomorrow! So I hit the O key and waited to speak with an associate. I told her that I had been getting the runaround and I wanted to know what was going on. She was finally able to tell me that it would be ready tomorrow, and I told her they could throw it away because I am taking my business elsewhere due to the horrible experience I had had. She then told me very sweetly “I’m so sorry to hear that. You have a nice day.”nnThis is not the first time I’ve had issues with this particular CVS store, but it will be the last.

Reliable

There is absolutely NO excuse for the drive thru wait time tonight. After being in Dallas all day for doctor appointments, all I wanted to do was drive through and pick up my mother-in-law's prescriptions. I have never in my life experienced the kind of wait there as I did today. Even Walgreens is faster than this!

We had an awesome experience with the pharmacy staff getting our first round of the COVID vaccine. We arrived late for our appointment but the staff was still friendly and accommodating. They have been doing 200 vaccine shots per day and most of the pharmacy staff had been there for 12 hours or more. If you’ve waited a long time for the vaccine, I know it’s hard to have patience, but these CVS employees are turning themselves inside out to help our communities safely exit this COVID nightmare. I think these CVS workers are absolute heroes, and we are so grateful for them.

So tired of the long lines in drive thru, that have gotten even longer since they added Covid testing.nI went last night to pick up 4 prescriptions. All called in to be filled 3 days before (should be plenty of time).n2 were ready, 1 they had to order the medication for (it was still packed on the order that came in the DAY before, the 4th prescription they didn’t fill because my insurance wouldn’t cover it (didn’t matter that I have paid for the script for the last year and didn’t use insurance). They can expedite them and have them ready in 30-40 minutes. I request they do so.nI come back today, should be ready right, no just one is, would I like them to expedite the fill on the other? I don’t have 5 hours to kill just waiting on this CVS store to get their act together.
