Great trails, not too many hills, well kept
The arboretumnnGreat place to walk and enjoy nature. Also many improvements are coming. Some new play areas and site improvements.nnWe’ve been going to the arboretum for a long time. We always have a very relaxed walk along the many trails. Great activity to do especially in this post social distancing world.nnWe like to park and grab a random trail and see what we find depending on the season. You will likely see multiple people having photo sessions because the place is beautiful.
Beautiful park , lots of walking paths , native animals hiding in plain sight. Well worth the drive. You can spend hours here. They have an educational center as well as classrooms for special events. They recently doubled the parking on the downside its now only paid parking (except Thursdays for those that can make it Thursdays) but parking is $5 tho wish there was a way to pay in some other ways then phone or credit card.
We love this hidden gem! It’s close to memorial park, but there is so much traffic over there so when we found this section we love to go here when it’s slow and not busy. The trails are really nice! Mostly gravel but they are wide and great for social distancing. Be sure you find the observation deck! It is such a beautiful spot on the trails!
This place has aloy of different paths to walk down and very kid friendly, parking is $5 for 14 hours as of now and they have a kids zone as well. Nice to visit the information center and see all the different reptiles, insects, and animals that could be found in the park. I think it would be better to go during spring time for everything to bloom so you can see all the different plants growing as usual but anytime is still perfectly fine because our kids had fun
