The masjid management are doing great community service by distributing necessary items during this tough time of pandemic then storm.. they have been doing this regularly. Well I am not sure to which school of thought the masjid aligns but definitely they don't align to Maslak e Alahazrat/ Ahle sunnat Wal jamat

Called this Masjid to ask if they were open and if I had to wear a mask/bring my own prayer mat, the man who picked up was super rude and hung up on me abruptly, he didn’t even say Salam Aleykum. That’s not how you treat a fellow Muslim brother, I wouldn’t recommend anyone coming here.

This is one of the best mosque in Houston, TX. When I moved to Houston, I was looking for a mosque for Jumma prayer & I ended up with Hawa Mosque. It's in a great location with great amenities like oju room with water + big prayer room with clean carpet. Ample parking here almost for 200 cars at the back there is garage, so you can park your car over there.I loved praying there & I never had to look for other mosques. Ever since I am part of that mosque. The best part of the Jumma prayer here is the imams. They are just great. They way they convey the khudbah & explain in plain English is just awesome which I have never felt back in new York. Every week I just eagerly wait when Friday will come & I can join the Jumma prayer in Hawa Masjid & learn something from the imams. The mosque also offers daily 5 times prayers. It also free Al- Quran classes for kids. Feel free to avail those benefits. The admin for this mosque Rahaman Bhai is really so nice & does his best to make this mosque the best in Houston. The mosque also offer other activities which you can get from their Facebook home page or website. Within 2 months I really feel a part of this mosque. So I would highly recommend this mosque for regular prayer/ Jumma prayers.
