April 2021: bathrooms are closed (for covid?). Nice playground, swings, basketball courts, skate park, picnic tables. They also supply bags for dog owners to clean up after their pets.
Very nice park.
The park was alright. The rope ladder was missing and it was impossible for my toddler to climb up on his own. It was nice that there was a public park at all though. There was also a skateboard park and nice picnic tables, field.nnWe had reason to speak with maintenance. The first time we went there was a huge paper-wasp nest under the yellow pavilion in the playground. Fortunately, maintenance was on the premise. As soon as we walked to where he was mowing he came over, turned off the tractor, listened to what I was saying. He immediately went and got spray and sprayed down the nest. We came back that afternoon and confirmed that all was clear and my son got to play on the playground.nnIt was disappointing that this clearly hadn't been inspected regularly, but encouraging that it was tended to immediately, without complaint.
Great park in town! I wish they had a dog park in town instead of an isolated one at lady bird Johnson
