We had a wonderful time. The electric boat makes for a nice quiet ride and the volunteers shared many interesting details about the nature area.We saw many birds and a gator...but best of all we had the unexpected treat of seeing a RIVER OTTER. That alone made the trip worthwhile! We also had access to the nature center after our boat ride. I highly recommend this trip if you enjoy a peaceful, quite nature tour.

Nature in the raw with a few conveniences. Beautiful setting with hiking loop trails. Friendly and helpful staff with lots of valuable information. I got the Senior yearly pass because I will come here often through out the seasons.

Hidden gem. Nice trails for all ages. Take the kids here for a nice walk and scenery. Bring a lunch or snack as the center offers many good picnic areas with scenic views.

One of my favorite local places to just go be in nature. I will say, if you are disabled, these trails are not very handicapped friendly though. There's often flooding and it's several miles of walking on uneven gravel. That is literally my ONLY complaint about this place. Otherwise, it's worth buying a yearly membership, which we always do!

Armand Bayou is a great place for hiking! Most of the trails are through the woods and are shaded. However, make sure you bring mud boots because many of the trails will be impassible otherwise if it has rained any time recently!
