Beautiful and easy hiking. There needs to be a garbage and graffiti clean up. Next time we come, we will bring trash bags to pick up some ourselves. But still wonderful views, and my daughter and I had a fantastic time here
Historical
Also known as Goatman's Bridge. A nice secluded area where you can go hiking or admire the river. Took my kids during the day and they enjoyed it. Been there at night too. Not too scary as there is sometimes people there. Tours are done here too.
This bridge and its connected trails have been a favorite of mine for years now. I wish I could give it a full rating but I’ve seen the level of neglect increase year by year. Signs, trail markers, trees, the new bridge, and the old bridge are now slathered with graffiti. Map stations are defaced or broken. Trails are covered with garbage until you get farther in the woods. Some paths are not well marked and I often have to catch my bearings with a compass. It’s a decent place for cat fishing but with all the trash, it makes the nature part of the experience less pleasant. I’ve seen Good Samaritans covering up graffiti but it just gets vandalized again. Overall, it could be so nice, but careless people and poor upkeep make this place a lot worse than it could be.
Me and 3 people We went there last night at around 7 pm and we were hoping to make contact with the goat man but we never have and so we started to hike along the trail and we started to hear voices of goat and woman wailing and the more further we got to the trail the more we got so lost and it felt like something was trapping us there and we got mad at each other and we heard footsteps and saw glowing eyes and it was terrifying to be sure I was septic about the whole thing but I soon learned that we were being watched and it was scary but please if you do intend to go there at night be sure to pray before and after so you don’t bring any evil lingering or demonic presence to your family and also be respectful and don’t say bad things about the legend itself but the trail was long and fun but definitely scary we left the trail at 2 am that’s how we were sure something or someone was messing with us .I suggest going in the daytime if you’re scared of haunted trials
