Decent spot to park for a one night stay. We had arranged to stay here in our RV on a Sunday night as we were traveling thru town. Lady at the city who took reservation was very helpful and we were able to pay over phone (versus running down to the city bldg). When we got there - didn’t have forewarning that there was an entrance overhead (probably to detour semi trucks)(see pics). It said it would only allow 13ft high vehicles. We are 13’3” but made it thru slowly, which was because turning around would have been a bear! Parking for the RV spots was odd - like parallel parking. Would be hard to pull in if full and get past other campers parked. Luckily, there was only one other camper there way at the other end so we took up the other end. Waste, sewer AND electric worked great and for $20 I guess you can’t beat it! Not exactly big rig friendly - but doable. Just a few minutes off main drag.

I was visiting Gatesville and wanted a scenic place to go for a jog. This place was perfect. When you add drive path to the running path, its exactly 1 mile. It's surrounded by water, trees and lots of birds so it was an incredibly peaceful run.nnThe park has a few swing sets for small children. There are also spaces for camping (tent or RV) with electric, a picnic table and a lookout over the water.nnThe internet lists the open hours of 7am but since it has camping spots, the gates aren't closed or locked so I was able to enter and run before 7am. There is plenty of parking near the running path and in the park.nnThis would be a great place to hold a birthday party or family reunion. As a bonus, there are hardstanding building with restrooms on site.

Had fun with my 3 year old son. The park was clean and pretty well taken care of and My son had fun. I am glad that it has a disc golf course that 18 holes long can't wait to play it.
