DO NOT GO TO MODERN MOTORS!nThese little side-of-the-road dealerships are often dodgy at best. But maybe this one is the exception, right?nWrong.nMy first warning sign, looking at listings on Craigslist, should have been when the car was substantially under Kelly Blue Book value.nThe second warning sign was when I called to set up a time to look at the car, pulled up to the address, and discovered it was a dealership. The car was listed as being sold by an individual and the person I spoke to on the phone never bothered to clear up this lie.nThe third warning sign was that I barely got the car off the lot before noticing the rough ride. Something was definitely wrong.nI checked it out with a mechanic anyway and confirmed my suspicions. Despite the dealership staff swearing up and down there were no title problems, the car had never been in a serious collision, there were no mechanical problems, it was in excellent condition... the truth was, any mechanic could spot a handful of signs that the car had been in a collision. The car was not well maintained--lift the hood and see everything is covered in a thick layer of dirt, for crying out loud! There were numerous mechanical problems besides.nMost likely the car was salvaged, minimally fixed up and they were trying to sell it as if it was a perfectly legitimate car in good condition.nBe careful where you get your car from, and make sure to go over any used vehicle with a fine-toothed comb before you buy it! It's amazing what people try to pull off.

I would also rate angel as a 0 of I could. We bought a vehicle in January and I'm still waiting for the title and plates. The car appeared to be in great condition. A day later the clutch is going out and the engine has multiple oil leaks. Nite he won't answer his calls or emails. Good Facebook account is gone. He is never at his dealership. And I have to pay over a thousand dollars to get the vehicle in my name. Buyers beware angel and modern motors is a criminal.

July 1st, 2013 I bought a 2000 V6 firebird from Angel. We had been in talks for about a week over the phone and through texting and the 1st was the day it was to become mine. As I was fresh out of the military, and didn't have a car I asked if angel could deliver the car to me, and we could sign the paperwork where we arranged to meet. He said sure, meet me there at 3pm. 330 rolls around and no sign of angel. 4 pm rolls around and he says that he's waiting on his ride. 5 rolls around and he says he can't make it that I'd have to come in to the shop. I make it to the shop, and we sign all the papers, I get the keys and head out. Not even 10 minutes down the road, the car gets sent into limp mode (an analogy was detected, and in order to save the engine, the car wouldn't go over 30mph, which kind of sucks in 281 rush hour). I took it to a mechanic and paid out of my pocket for a new catalytic converter. If you thought the madness would end now, you're wrong. After the cat was replaced, the mechanic told me that i had coolant leaking from a freeze plug, which would cost an arm and a leg to fix. I contacted angel, and asked if we could negotiate on some part of this deal deal and he told me that I bought the car as is, which is understandable minus the fact that I was advertised a mechanically sound car. He also told me that the shop connected to his dinky little office would would be willing to fix the issue for an up charged rate. I finally got the title in the mail, a good month after I had the car, and he didn't put my bank as a lien holder, which hiked my rate up to 18%. Buyer bewarw, this place is total crap, don't fall for his bullshit, go to a more reputable dealer.
