It was always a very good city park growing up. The tennis courts were in great shape and busy most day or night. The walking trail was maintained and the landscaping kept up. Sadly, no more. It needs a lot of TLC. It could be an excellent park again if only the proper Government officials would really focus on it's importance.

The cleanest park we have ever been to. Very nice.
Beautiful grounds, very nice pavilions, pretty clean bathrooms (there's no changing stations for babies or toddlers though so bear that in mind), the park has very nice walking paths, at least half are paved. The playground equipment is a little rusty, but the sand is clean, trash and cigarettes weren't in the play area on our last visit, didn't see any stray animals around the park or feces in the sand. It's a nice place to go for a stroll, outdoor leisure run, exercise, fishing, volleyball, or geocaching. The playground is a very nice area to let children of all ages let out their energy. I prefer the second playground for smaller children and first playground for older children myself.
Love this place, so calm and just pretty. BUT where are the picnic tables?? Would like to bring lunch now and then and sit out to eat. All they have is the shelter. Dont feel like walking to the shelter thats made for several people when there are only 2 of us!!
