We stayed at SLC this weekend with our two small children! We lucked up by getting the site directly across from the bath house. Apparently there are only two shower houses in the whole campground but they were very clean, hot water and great water pressure. The kids had a blast at the play ground and if it would have been warmer I’m sure they would have loved the beach area as well! We will definitely be back very soon! Downfall is they do not have any cellnService so if that is important do not go there! Campsites are all good sized and some are directly on the water! We had a blast!

Nice place to camp. Great for kayaking as well. Will definitely try to go back.

This is by far one of my favorite places to camp even though its only a few miles from home. Everyone thus far has always been so nice and its not as crowded as some of the others so I don't have to stress near as bad about the kids. The lake is beautiful and the kids love the beach. I always feel relaxed here. You can bring your golf carts as well. Not to forget the bathrooms and bath house has always been clean during my stay. This is very important to me. They have full hookups, pull through and back in sights. ENJOY!

We are still new to camping with our 18 month old camper. We have stayed at State ran campsites and private resort style camp places. This was our first experience at a campsite ran by the federal government. At $20/night for water & electricity we were impressed. The only thing is that the sewer hookups are very few and are booked well in advance. The campsite is spacious with a picnic table, BBQ pit and hookups. The bathroom facilities are spread out nicely within the camp. Laundry facilities were a bit sparse with only one washer & one dryer for 130 large campsites. If you have a large camper.....there will be a site for you! The bathroom/shower facilities were cleaned daily! There were always someone working, mowing or weed eating to keep the campsite nice. The lake is lovely & animals abound. We saw 2 different kinds of deer, Duck families, Turkeys, geese, rabbits & squirrels. Even the bugs were nifty with one that looked like a green leaf & a Caterpillar with white fur...a red head with antennae. There is a beach, with very soft sand for the kiddos & a couple of basketball goals. The showers were free & that kept us from having to empty our tanks! There is one dumping station but we were told that the line to wait is ridiculous during peak departures ...Sunday & Monday. We left on a Thursday at 10am ...we didn't have to wait at the dump station. We were able to make reservations online, which we like a lot. We arrived before the park closed for the evening and the staff was very friendly & helpful. (We were emailed a code to get in incase we arrived after the park closed. Quiet hours were from 10pm to 6am. When we arrived the park was about half full....yet we were never bothered by anyone's noise. The mosquitoes are relentless so remember your bug spray!

So we got lucky and had a friend with an extra campsite that was not going to be used and they asked if we wanted it. So we pull up to the gate and the people were extremely nice and helpful since this was our first time at Salt lick. Then we get to the campsite which was on the water and in the shade AMAZING. Kids have so much to do its crazy. Other campgrounds better step it up to keep up with Salt lick. WE LOVED IT !!!!!
