I am a season pass holder and go down the Ocoee with AU maybe 30-50 trips per season. But I only review maybe once or twice per year.nnToday is one of those days!nnStarted the day doing a full river experience with Dana as my guide. I have rafted with him before and he was excellent as always. His 26 years of experience and his passion for the river really show through.nnAfter the full river trip was done there was still daylight left so I jumped on the last trip of the day for the classic Middle Ocoee. this time Leon was my guide. I have rafted with Leon many time before as well. This trip we all had a blast. Since it was later in the day the crowds were a little lighter and we had a bonus of some higher water. Like I said, everybody had a blast, but I really think the person having the most fun was guide Leon!nnSo for my two trips today I had almost 50 yrs of combined raft guide experience guiding the raft. AS I looked around I realized there were several guides with tons of experience on the trips. Plus I know there were guides on different trip times also with 20 yrs + and tons more with 5-10 years + experience. All working at AU!nnWhile we were on the lunch break for the full river trip (lunch is included with the full river trip) I was sitting with a family from Chicago. They asked me if I had ever been down the Ocoee with other outfitters which I have been. They they asked me if they are all basically the same? My answer... I have been rafting with other companies but I bought my season pass the last 4 years at Adventures unlimited because they are the best!!!!nnBest guides, best facilities, and since I have known them a while now I will say THE BEST PEOPLE! If you are going to travel and spend your money these are the people that you want to do business with!
Did the full river trip on Sunday with Leon as our guide and had the best experience. Leon was so knowledgeable and gave great, simple, concise instructions while keeping us stoked and excited along the way. Would have been much more nervous without Leon leading us from the back! 10/10 would do it again and would recommend Adventures Unlimited to anyone going to raft the Ocoee. Such a great vibe in the campsite as well. Do recommend.
I would say this is great if your going rafting in the area. They have a bar which is probably fun if you've been on the river all day and want to party. Strictly as a camp site, just OK. Nothing else really to do, and the facilities are just what you'd expect from a rafting company. People that run the place were very friendly, if I were rafting I would come back. They seem to have very good reviews for there raft trips.
I had Josh Lemon as our tour guide and he was beyond phenomenal! I was scared but his demeanor was very calming and knew his stuff. Throughout the trip, he had awesome knowledge about everything we saw and even historical info about rafting and the river, which we loved! Would 100% recommend requesting him, he made the day even better ud83dudc4dud83cudffcud83dudc4dud83cudffc Thanks so much Josh for an experience I won't forget ud83dude03
We went Labor Day weekend and it was amazing! Had a party of 5 all of our first time white water rafting, we had Jules “the queen of the river”. Julie was absolutely amazing! She was enthusiastic, funny, informative, and very adventurous. She’s definitely the one to request if you want all the information about the river! She’s been doing this for 22 years and practically will tell you everything! She made sure our youngest felt safe and had a good time when she was nervous about falling out. Our experience was amazing and we are planning to come back next year!
