This campground is super awesome! The owner is really nice and so are the grounds here. There's tons of space to dry camp with either your camper or tent. They have a few full hook-up (sewer and everything) spots for campers and a camper and cabin you can air b&b. The campground has a beautiful bathhouse with a nice shower and outlets. This is also a very good location for a campground. It's not hard to pull your camper here and it's an hour (maybe an hour and a half) from everything you could possibly want to do! There's a chain grocery store and restaurant about 20 minutes from here. The campground has Wi-Fi because most folks don't get great service out there. I would 100% recommend this to a friend or family member to stay here!

I'd rather not rate this place, but keep it all for myself... But that would be so unfair too the wonderful folks there. Dena is an amazing person as well as host. The sites are close together but plenty adequate for parking whatever rig you bring. The bathhouse is a simple one holer with a shower, but it's very nice and brand new (Summer 2020). The drive in up through Ducktown and Turtletown over the mountains was not too bad with a 23' camper pulled behind a V6 Toyota. The camp host stayed up late to help back us in to our space, which was greatly appreciated. Having full hookups and being able to book for a holiday weekend just a few days out was absolutely fantastic. From the wide open field out front to the cool little pond to the creek itself, the landscape was super pleasant, as were all the other campers there. The weather couldn't have been better, the night sky was amazing in the lack of light pollution, how many stars we could see! The hosts checked in with us about once each day to make sure our needs were completely met. They gave us suggestions on things to do in the area, and great advice on things we asked about. Our whole family is looking forward to going back to Hammer's Hideaway.

Stayed in an RV so we didn't depend on a bathhouse or amenities.nOnly WiFi calling no cell signal.nLarge lawn in front of the property was nice for walking leashed dogs.nNo picnic table but a very nice grill to cook on or have a bonfire
