Hidden Gem of a Campground!nMy three girls and I (13, 10, 2) stayed at Parksville Lake R.V. campground for two nights and were surprised at its quaint, quiet, and serene quality. Even though it only has 12 campsites and a single loop, it is surrounded by woods, has an easy-to-access bath house (restrooms could use updating and more cleaning), has access to fun and fast-moving stream for kids, and is set right off of Lake Oconee with trails for hiking and biking. If you're looking for a less-crowded campground more off-the-beaten-path, Parksville has what you need.

Nice campground, there was no electricity and host. Kiosk was out of envelopes, qr code on drop box didn't work when I scanned it. Only 1 person camping there. I stayed 1 night from 5pm to about 4am n just slept in my van. Very quiet and stream running was nice Zen to fall asleep to.

Great campground. If the site is reserved you can still pay and camp in that site but you'll have to move on the reserved day morning. All national campground hosts will work with you so you can stay. Very good people.

The reservation system is broken. During my recent camping trip i was there almost a week.. The placards at each site were marked reserved .However half the campground was empty although online showed the campground was full. Some folks that had reserved some sites just didn't show . There is a timelimit (my understanding) to occupy the site you reserve. Some sites sat empty all week with a reserved placard on them. I would have loved to stay much longer but they were marked reserved. The status should have changed when there is a no show.. Sorry to be negative but lots of folks drove through looking for a camping site but had to obey the placards and leave.

Just got back from 3 nights here, great little hidden gem. Had site 5 which was probably considered least desirable, inner loop not next to creek and a little hard to back into; and I thought it was great; all sites are shaded. a few pull troughs and location, location, location. Plus it's a rare bargain at $20 a night.
