Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Cleanest bathrooms I have ever seen at a campsite. I was tent camping and all sites are on gravel so I would recommend a tarp under your tent. As other reviews said the sites are small but they are adequate. I was able to fit my family size tent, a canopy over the picnic table and my car into the site without it feeling cramped. And yes you can hear the highway but it becomes just background nothing that disturbed me. If I ever head that way again I will be staying here.

We went up to visit the owner, Bert, to do a little business with him. He and his wife Ginny are nice folks and obviously very hard workers. Ginny was out working in the landscaping. Its a beautiful campground that offers so much, even for the community. I was too busy to think of taking pics, but there is a large pool (open to locals for $3 during the season), very nice bathrooms and showers, propane for purchase at an excellent price, a nice large shelter to rent, 6 cabins for rent (two with 1/2 baths, 4 with none), a nice little gift shop and all in a beautiful setting. Many huge RVs were coming and going. If you are driving through and looking for a nice KOA, Id definitely stop at Bert and Ginnys.

It's a KOA journey so its geared for one nighters. Journeys normally are pretty basic campgrounds. Our site wasn't level but it was close enough that I didn't worry about leveling out my driver's side wheels since it was dark and raining. One of the Camco orange squares under each wheel on the driver's side would have fixed it. Camping in the south I'm used to seeing rebel flags but seeing one on KOA workers golf cart was a major turnoff. Overall if you're dead tired it's a place to stop but I would go elsewhere.
