Beautiful creekside and mountain and forest hiking. Very nice camping and picnic area with sites well spaced out. Lots of wildlife and birding opportunities. Trails to waterfalls. Nice clean restroom plenty of parking. Variety of trails and scenery

Plenty of camping, hiking, biking, and horse trails. Bathroom facilities available, nice flowing creek beside the picnic areas. Access to Sampson Mountain area trailhead and a few others. Other campgrounds are also close by, including Pebble Mountain and Old Forge recreation area. Be bear aware on old forge rd, we did see one roadside. Well kept area, and peaceful.
