The female host is wonderful. Very sweet and accommodating. Great place for families

This is they best campground in the Trip cities area, being raised here I've visited most or all.nCrockett has great looking Tent spots (some with Electric and water hockups and Many RVSites that all have hookups.nI believe I seen that wifi was added along with one of best pools in area.nGreat fishing in Nolechucky river with good hidden spots, I caught my biggest catfish ever here. Hugh, but I was only 13 at time

TN State Parks in general are very nice. This one is pretty exceptional. The rangers are friendly and the park is always clean. They have added some very nice additions with some animals and exhibits. The only thing that really keeps me from giving 5 stars is the lack of fire pits at the full hook up sites. The very back row (along the road) has some pretty steep sites, but that must not bother some, because they tend to be booked. I personally prefer the ones closer to the river...but who wouldn't?

camped here early december and loved it. being the off season the place was mostly deserted. the spots are really close together so I can imagine during peak times it gets crowded. but the location right on the river is hard to beat, and it’s just up the road from jonesborough and johnson city.npro tip: the sites with sewage hookups don’t have fire pits and vice versa, so you’ll have to choose which is more important to you. we went with the fire pit, and that area (for smaller to medium size campers) has a shadier, less crowded feel. bathrooms are perfectly adequate and the area is really pretty!

We love to camp here and the only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because of the Wi-FI Please get cable so the kids can have something to watch at quiet time.
