We stayed in site 1 right next to the camp host.nPros: Very peaceful site even though the road was right behind us. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Short 15 minute drive to gorgeous waterfalls. The swimming beach is a 5 minute drive. Very friendly lady at the visitor center.nCons: Camp host was not friendly even though he’s right next to us. Park rangers were not very social either. The site was not cleaned even though we arrived at check in time. Rusted tin can lid right in grass where you step out of the RV. Trash all in the fire ring and all through the site. No one enforcing dogs that weren’t on a leash. Neighbors small dog was attacked by a loose golden retriever.nI would stay here again just allow time to clean up when arriving.

Stayed at the campground in February of 2021 and had a wonderful experience! Very nice sleepy campground with relatively spacious sites. Each site has a metal picnic table, BBQ grill and fire ring. The park is hilly and many of the sites have stairs from the camper pad to the picnic table area but there are handicap sites available. Two nice bath houses that are heated with enclosed shower stalls. There's a playground near one of the bath houses and an open sided shelter with a fireplace. There's a dryer and utility tub available near the playground (one dryer, quarter operated). It snowed while we were there and the kids enjoyed playing at the playground in the snowy weather. Roads were salted and plowed promptly despite the inclement weather. Beautiful hikes, beaches, and play area available inside the park for family fun. We hiked the Downstream/Twin Falls hike twice! The Twin Falls hike is nice because the falls are at the start of the trail and visible from the trail head so those with mobility issues can still enjoy the sights without having to hike the trail.

Large tree shaded level lots. For people pulling trailers be careful pulling through the checking station because there is a wooden post on the drivers side that likes to catch the sides of trailers. Otherwise the trailer park is excellent, especially for those who like to trout fish: A river below the dam on one side, a stream flowing from a fish hatchery on another side. Very quiet. Family friendly. Very level area.

Such an exciting place! We had picked it out because we saw that it was recommended as one of the top places to visit in Tennessee, and we live only about an hour and a half away.nnWe could see how lovely it was, especially with the swimming area and picnic tables. We are also suckers for historical context, so the little history markers about the cotton mill were great. My boyfriend makes a hobby out of photography, so he loved the waterfalls and overlook.nnUnfortunately, we had some bad timing. We came to the park when it was snowy and icy, so some of the places we tried to hike were quite slippery.nnOverall, it was great! Makes me excited to visit again during the summer.

Gorgeous place, strenuous hike, but definitely worth it
