Always stop for ice cream before hitting the loop

In mid March, only a small portion of the campground was open. It was booked full and very crowded mid-week. Campsites were not very secluded or spacious. Wooded area was nice, saw deer in the campsite. Firewood was $10 for a small bundle. The National park allows gathering of cut, down wood. We brought an axe and cut our own. Fire pit was not cleaned out and had lots of ash. Overall it was ok and neat being in the Great Smokey National Park, but the campground was nothing great.

An absolutely gorgeous campground with a beautiful river rushing by. The Cades cove loop also offers over 10 miles of hiking or drive thru conservatory. We did see bears in the campground too!!! No showers but an amazing place to unplug and enjoy!!! My new fave vacation spot!!!

Half of our party stayed here for our week-long vacation in the Smokies and it was a perfect choice for an in the park campground! There was a good sized general store within walking distance with everything that you could need, which was nice. Also, we loved just walking the loops or checking out the smaller trails during our down-time. The weather was great, the sites were well maintained and a decent size, the bathrooms were clean (although no running water), and the campground overall was very nice and in a great location in the park. We did the Cades Cove loop multiple times and saw black bears, coyotes, and lots of deer. We would highly recommend checking out this campground if you are looking to stay in Great Smokey National Park!

Our first time staying here and we truly loved it!! Nature is all around and the campground is near the loop. We woke up to deer around our rv. Very friendly atmosphere and great hiking trails. Definitely will return!! ud83eudd70
