Currently no activities are open but you can still fish and hike.
Wonderful open spaces. Weekends and holidays can see crowds in the summer but rarely are there lots of people on weekdays and during the winter. I love to go running here--safe! A year pass for local residents makes it very affordable.
I was not sure how to get there, and even when I was, I was not sure. (WE CAME OUT OF NORMAL SEASON). The park was great for what we needed. We wanted to get away, take a few family pictures and walk along a few trails. Everything was great for what we wanted and the kids had a great time. Our pictures turned out great, so that was a great plus.
In season or out of season, Covid or no Covid, this is a beautiful park and seamlessly run. The park service is warm and helpful and the park rangers are diligent and respectful. The park is beautifully maintained and there is plenty to see and do, even during the pandemic. Great playgrounds for the kids, beautiful lake for fishing, and such a fun disc golf course! 5/5 stars for sure.
Looks like it will be a fun place to go come summer....only one boat ramp that I could see, there's camping, picnic pavilions, relatively handicap accessable, horse & bike trail...baseball diamond, Sandy beach swimming area....& Bass fishing...
