Petro Travel Center “Truck Stop” down town Oklahoma City is good for what it is.nnThe shower and laundry facility’s are cleannThe restaurant food is good, but they always seem to be short wait staff & this can cause a delay in getting in and out if your looking for quick service. This is not always the case but have noticed they need more staff at this restaurant, 2 waitresses is not enough!nnThe store staff seem friendly and keep the Coffey fresh.nnThe parking lots are usually pretty dirty, this is one of them facility’s that seems to want to cut back on truckers dumping tons of trash off. I get it, probably expensive for a facility that has free parking to pay for tons of trash removal, so they removed a lot of the outside trash cans and put fences up around the dumpsters. Great ideal, but it seems that some truck drivers just throw their trash in the parking lot and then it gets ran over and hence a dirty parking lot!nnAlso during this big snow storm, they were not prepared and did not have DEF tanks insulated for cold weather so the DEF tanks were frozen. Last place I filled my DEF tank was in Northern Wisconsin and it was -26 degrees and a couple feet of snow, so I know that TA knows how to keep services flowing in cold weather and that Oklahoma City Petro probably needs retraining in providing a better service.nnAll in all this is not a bad truck stop, but with a little better leadership & employee motivation it could be a 5 star facility

This was a great place to get a shower and some breakfast. I’m a young stereotypically-lesbian traveling alone, so I was wary when I came here at 6am. But it was a very nice, clean, and safe place to refresh. Gas prices are a bit higher than some other stations I passed, but if you’re looking to use the travel facilities at all, I’d definitely recommend this place.

Thanksgiving day. I walked in and nobody acknowledged me. I didn’t know where to go and everyone just looked at me looking at them. Finally I approached someone and they started calling me shorty. Didn’t appreciate that at all but I’m like ok they’re trying to be funny with a sense of humor to lighten the mood. Sat me down and brought my water. I watched other customers be served before me. I sat there for a whole hour waiting for my food and when it came they had it wrong. When they sent it back I sat and watched as no one made an attempt at correcting my food which I had patiently been waiting for. Not to mention the staff were eating and cursing and just completely unprofessional. Made it a real uncomfortable experience. First impressions are everything because I’ll never go back.

It was good for getting gas and for getting my favorite gummy bears
