I would not recommend this particular Hertz location to anyone. I am only giving one star because I have to in order to process review. It should be 0 stars. They charged my account for nearly $300. They were only suppose to place a hold for $50 until the vehicle was returned. This card was only to hold a vehicle for a family member (to act as a deposit). I never signed anything authorizing any charge, but they forced the sale of this fraudulent charge anyhow. First of all, they acted like they did not have a vehicle. Then, after the family member drove out to location they “found” a vehicle. The vehicle was driven but a few miles and it had a flat by that same evening. The family member called Hertz asking what should be done to fix. Family member was told to call the Hertz Roadside Assistance to fix. Never was there any charges mentioned for doing as Hertz had instructed and calling roadside assistance to fix the defective vehicle (however, we were charged at the end). Hertz again said they did not have any vehicles available. Roadside Assistance had family member to check to see if there was a temporary tire in the back or if it would need to be towed. There was a temporary tire, so tow company put it on to have family member drive back to location. We drove behind family member to make sure defective car given ( the 1st car) made it back to Hertz. Though Hertz stated they did not have a vehicle, they again “found” one. Family member did not look over vehicle assuming it to be fine. She drove but a few miles again, when she drove up to the house I immediately noticed a huge gash in the front right tire. I took a picture of the defective tire with the obvious date/time stamp and family member called Hertz immediately to report. It ended up to be car #3 before family member had functional vehicle to drive. Wife questioned whether Hertz has maintenance staff inspecting vehicles before renting to which the rep replied a positive. Obviously, to get two damaged cars before the third and finally acceptable one, leaves one to question the validity of such statement. Family member took vehicle back at end of rental period and was instructed by rep to park vehicle, check mileage, report condition of vehicle, and report gas tank status. Not a wonder that the cars she had gotten were damaged. Customers should not be “inspecting and reporting” on vehicles. Hertz ended up charging $300 nearly. They charged family member for towing vehicle (though none were ever towed). They tried to charge for the bad tires pointed out to them by family member, but thankfully by that point we had already canceled the card. So, we were taken for nearly $300 with nothing being authorized to have even been charged to us. We never rented the car ourselves and never signed for anything. This location’s staff is incompetent. They should not be trusted in the least. Fraudulent charges is their motto. I would not recommend this location. If you must; however, inspect the heck out of the vehicle before you leave with it. At all costs, don’t let them access a debit card. The staff operates in dishonesty. Protect yourself!
!!!!!Please read before using their service!!!!!nnIf I could give 0 starts I would. I was charged $734 for no reason after the car was returned. I tried to call them seeing what went wrong and after multiple times being denied on their phone lines, I was finally able to get in contact with a human and no one could give me an answer as to why they took that much money, considering the total charge was only $501. They also charged a $233 charge on top of it for another reason they could not explain to me. I was only able to talk to their supervisor after I said I would have a legal team calling to get some answers. I highly recommend you go with a different company unless you want to get scammed out of your money.
I rented a car from this location last week. As part of my job I have to take customers out to dinner or colleagues around. The car smelled like it had been smoked in. I didn't notice it until after it rained.
Budget went above and beyond in regards to Excellent Customer Service. The agent waited 2.5 hours after closing time when our flight was delayed.
If you don't mind being ripped off, go here. Another smoke in the car issue, which renter says she wasn't told. When renting car, the representative said extra insurance was 30 dollars, didn't know until returning car that it was actually 30 dollars per day! And last of all, once they have your credit card information, they will add charges later, as they wish without asking permission.
