I served as interim pastor of this congregation for 9 months and they were some of the best in my career. Lovely people, thoughtful Christians who really want to make a difference in their community. If you are looking for progressive theology in Weatherford, OK, this is the church to attend. You won't hear sermons preached or Bible study classes taught on the same ole same ole that you've always heard. Stay for coffee hour and chat with some of the members-- they're the best.
The entire congregation was sitting at the back of the church. literally the first half of the seating was completely empty. That was very strange. They read Scripture, but the actual sermon was about fear and only had one reference to the Word. It was mostly just stories. But they were kind and welcoming and had delicious snacks after the service.
