Senior/handicapped tent camper here. Love this park with its gorgeous lake views and well-spaced sites. I always get an RV site for the electric access, and there is enough space for two tents in one site. It's hit or miss in early Spring with the maintenance. I've stayed five times and it seems the closer one gets to the fishing tournament, the worse the sites look with overly tall grass and the bathrooms under-maintained. The showers are frankly horrible. There is zero privacy and the hot/cold seem to flow in turn instead of together. One minute you freeze the next you are boiling. I prefer Autumn camping here. it is quiet and the sites are better maintained. Go check out the prairie dog villages in Canton proper near the Government buildings and the lower park. They are adorable!
Great park! Lots of space between camp sites and water views at many. Park attendant Kelly helped us book a last minute spot one night for the holiday weekend - he was super nice and helpful! Would definitely stay here again!
Beautiful lake, park and camping facilities
The Big Bend section of Canton Lake is nice. The bathrooms and showers were very clean compared to most public lakes. The only issue we ran into was weather related. Overall great experience.
Our campsite was against the shoreline. No power or water. The row of campsites seemed like they were haphazardly put on a thin strip (maybe 20 feet wide)of grass. Other campsites looked nice and good bathrooms/shower.
