Absolutely adore Shear Shakti! Started going to Ellie my freshman year of college after a terrible dorm room hair dye experience because I didn't have a hairdresser in Boone yet. She absolutely saved my hair & didn't once judge me or criticize my hairs condition! Five years later I still make the drive from Asheville to get my hair done by her! She listens to what you want & delivers, all while making sure your hair doesn't break off your head. Charlotte the owner, is also the definition of a hard working girl boss! Absolutely love the atmosphere & the quality of their work, if you're looking for a hair salon in Boone or even 2 hours from Boone look no more!

This was my first professional massage and I absolutely enjoyed every minute of it. Liz is awesome and knows what’s she’s doing. Highly recommend, definitely coming back in the future!

I got a birthday massage. Staff was very friendly and on top of things. I was skeptical about the quality of massage service I could receive in such a busy, slightly noisy environment-the room was right behind the front desk! However, stepping into the room was like stepping into another world. White noise and music muted any other sounds and I found my experience totally undisturbed by salon business.I was delighted. It is an older building but much attention was paid to decor and ambience. It is quite zen and appropriate. The therapist I was booked with was unavailable and I ended up with Christie, a charming twist of fate, I now believe. She was beyond words and I will be booking with her again-soon!! ♥ufe0f Professional, respectful, attentive, receptive, safe. She takes her profession seriously and I would highly recommend her.

Staff was attentive and friendly from the moment I walked up the stairs. They requested that I wash my hands and then checked my temperature before having me wait just a moment for Serena's space to get the extra cleaning. Serena is a wondrous person, and the shampooing I got was something I didn't know I needed but it was oh so good! Of course the masks make it strange (this was my first time in a salon) but Serena was meticulous with the soap and water. She talked to me, she laughed with me, and she somehow communicated genuinely right tho=rough the mask. She spent time to understand what I wanted, and gave me the exact haircut I was hoping for even though I wasn't able to articulate it totally. All the staff that I interacted with on my visit were professional and fun to be around. Highly reccomend!

Shear Shakti truly has an amazing staff! I used them for my wedding day for hair and make-up. They are very professional, talented, easy-going, and all-around fun. I had done a couple of trials (indecisive bride over here) and each time I was met with kindness and understanding! I cannot tell you how many times I and my mom emailed/called Jamie and she was always so quick to respond and patient. Jamie, Serena, and Tara were our main team and they are wonderful! We got married at The Overlook Barn and the entire team came to us and got me, 9 bridesmaids, 2 moms, and a grandmother ready in no time! Tara is crazy good at make-up and we all looked stunning and still looked like us! They all did our hair and was able to make everyone feel beautiful. Serena is so calming, and my hair had never looked better. I and my bridesmaids felt beautiful the entire day and night. Shear Shakti made it such a magical day! Thanks ladies for making my day truly the best!
