I hired Ms. Dunn to handle my aunt's estate in 2016 since she had prepared my aunt's Will. Having worked in the legal field for over 25 years myself, I compared her and her firm with my own professional experience. Ms. Dunn and her staff were not nearly as communicative as they should have been. There were several phone calls and e-mails that were either not responded to, the responses were incomplete, or took way too long. Ms. Dunn told me she could not do any work on the estate until I gave her $3,000. The problem with that is that I could not money from my aunt's estate to pay legal fees until I became qualified as executor, which is what I needed Ms. Dunn to do. At the time, I did not know this was not the customary way to handle an attorney retainer fee since I worked in a different field of law. What if I didn't HAVE $3,000 of my own money, then what? Ms. Dunn knew there was ample money in my aunt's estate, so I cannot understand why I had to come up with personal funds to retain her services.nMs. Dunn made me feel like I was a bother and was rather cold and even short with me at times. Who needs this type of treatment when you have just lost a loved one? It got to the point that I knew I could not go through a year of this type of aggravation, so I fired her (both written and verbally) and told her to stop working on the estate immediately. She ignored my request and began really working on it the day I fired her and added those fees to her bill. She gave me a non-itemized bill so that I could not see the breakdown and dates of activity. (I am 99.99% sure that she WAY overcharged me, mainly by virtue of working on my case AFTER she was fired.) When I asked for an itemized bill, she told me that she HAD given me an itemized bill, which it certainly was not. The bill was in paragraph form with a $2,000 total for the work she did. I do billing at the law firm I work for, and Ms. Dunn's bill did not break down in tenths of hours (industry standard) for each task performed, nor did the bill even state how much time was spent in total. Just a flat $2,000, with not much to show for it.nThe same I fired Ms. Dunn, I hired the Dozier Miller law firm, specifically Craig Miller, to handle my aunt's estate, and what a HUGE difference in the way I was treated, the promptness of Mr. Miller and his staff's replies to my communications, and the quality of the work that was done. It was like night and day. I would not recommend Landon Dunn for any legal work whatsoever. She needs to learn how to relate professionally (and maybe personally) to other people, especially her clients. Very disappointed with her and her firm.

Said what she was going to do to assist me, Did what she said she would do in a timely manner and responded to me quickly when I may have had questions after the completion of the task.

Atty Dunn was the utmost professional who listened to my request and needs then delivered what I needed timely, efficiently and reasonably priced. Definitely will use her services again!!

Landon was very supportive in a very difficult time and very fair in her pricing. I highly recommend her services.
