From the small parking area along FR 475, this 2.5 mile out-and-back hike is fairly easy. No steep elevation changes. The waterfall is about 50 feet tall with a nice, multi-tiered series of cascades. Unfortunately, there is a lot of deadfall across the base of the falls which hurts the aesthetics (and photography). That said, it's still worth the trip, and there's a pretty cascade along the hike, just off FR 809.

Good hike, multiple ways in. We followed the yellow blaze trail from the campground. Hike takes you to the top of the waterfall, pretty but blocked view. There is a switchback/wash trail down the side that puts you at the bottom. Beautiful down there room for a couple people on the flat area.

This is a favorite hike. We rarely see people when the campsites aren't occupied, and the falls are gorgeous. The start of the trail is a wide gravel road, with a two foot bridges over creek crossings. Once you get through the second campsite, the trail becomes a more typical hiking trail through the woods. You can reach the falls from either side of the creek, so you don't need to cross the log footbridge unless you want to explore that side of the creek.

What an amazing place to camp. The upper site has room for up to 60 people, 10 picnic tables, a huge fire ring, grill, and bathroom facilities. There is plenty of open space to play and frontage on the stream. The mini sliding rock area is a very short 3 min walk. There are plenty of trails and waterfalls within a short distance of the area. A word of caution, though. You will have to drive across 2 river crossings to make it into the upper camp area. Normally this is not a big deal as the water is low, but we had 5 inches of rain during our stay so the crossings were much more treacherous. Luckily, we drove in using an FJ Cruiser with 4wd.

Beautiful waterfall, but if there's even just one other group here it feels very crowded.
