I rented a storage unit from La Brisas in mid-May 2013. The people at the office were nice and friendly. The problem began when I was assigned storage unit 50. When I go to put my belongings in the unit, I notice that it is locked, which meant that they didn't even bother to check if 50 was occupied or not. I inform the people at the office about the situation and they reassign me with number 46.
When I check out #46, I see that it is filled with sand; none ever bothered to sweep out the unit before it was assigned to me.
After a couple days go by, I had this gut feeling that the people in the office didn't even bother to change my unit number on my paperwork, so I pay them a visit and ask them what storage unit number appears on my paperwork. The woman helping me obviously didn't remember to change the unit number on my paperwork because she tried to get me to tell what my unit # was. I couldn't believe it. There was no way I was going to leave my stuff at this storage facility and make payments on it when these people can't even get their paperwork straight.
I ended up canceling my lease and going down the road to 108 Carver Rd. where they were more professional and didn't even charge me an application fee plus had very affordable units available.
