Great 13.8 mile on mostly flat 12 ft wide multi use Rail Trail.nSeveral Street Crossings a couple at a odd angle on a very busy Street ! Would love to see a STOP LIGHT AT AT LEAST THE TWO ODD ANGLE CROSSINGS !

Remote yet fairly easy to find off of 221. This seems to be the starting point of the 12.5 mile trail that extends to the opposite side of Forest City. Peaceful during the day.

Great starting spot for a beautiful trail. Limited parking, no thrash cans, and no facilities. Clean, easy to get to and has a map of the trail with mileage markers and information for each mile. The trail itself is all paved. Expect to stop at intersections as marked to allow for cars to pass. A suggestion will be to install motion sensing signs to warn motorist of trail users approaching. Some intersections have blind spots and it's difficult for both motorist and trail users to see each other.

Drove from Cornelius to this awesome lesser know rail-trail with great shade on the northern section. Bike tools and maps are at every trail parking lot. We stopped at Jesse James’s cafe for dinner and it was delicious. We will definitely be coming back to complete the trail.

Beautiful trail. Lots to see and enjoy. Most of all, no roots pushing up the pavement.
