Dan Nicholas Park Campground

Beautiful trails. Some sites have better cell service than others. Considering there were I think five people in the whole campground, they were a little pickier than I like on specific checkout time. And only place I've been with a gate that locks after a certain time, so if you're arriving in the evening, make sure you get the code! But I would definitely go back. ☺ufe0f

One of our favorite places. Highly recommend it. But you gotta go when everything is open to get full experience. We even stayed in the cabin one time and would totally do it again!!!! I wish more people could help support this place to keep it up and running well. It's a wonderful place for families!!!! Kids grew up going here.

This park is huge, with so many different attractions for cheap prices. The playground is gigantic. And even a section for disabled children. There is mini zoo, miniature golf, train, carousel plus more. Make it a family day and grill at one of the shelters.

I love the zoo here, there is also a petting zoo of barn animals. The zoo is called Rowan wildlife adventures. Only 50 cent for petting zoo and a dollar for the rest of the zoo. Super great staff too!

In the woods, nice family place. If you need full hookups and cell service and WiFi, this is Not the place for you. But if you're looking for a quiet, inexpensive well maintained public campground this is it.
