I normally wouldn't review a gas station, but for some reason I felt the need to. We stop by Lumberton EVERY time we drive from Virginia to Florida. We always fill up here at the BP. The trip this past week was no different, we stopped here on the way down and on the way back. I have never had a real issue here despite the bad reviews. I've stopped in the store before to grab things as well and had mostly good interactions with the staff, that being said I can't speak for every staff member at the place so I won't give it a 5 star.
I only got gas here. Pump worked fine and filled 15 gallons in the normal amount of time. Parking lot and pumps are a little cramped. Easy on/off from the interstate.
Stopped at this station Saturday June 20th at around 6:00pm and took forever to check out. Only a few pumps work working and the one we used had a hole in hose which spewed gasoline over my son as he started to pump gas. The staff wasn’t very helpful and we had to insist that they provide us with water bottles and bar of soap to wash off the gas as there was no soap in bathroom. Bathrooms nasty. Trashed his expensive sandals.
Half the pumps didn't work. Bathrooms need upgrades.
Gas pump is extremely slow. Took more than 10 minutes to fill our tank (17 gallons). Also pretty sure it overcharged us.
